Position Details

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Varies

Temporary Security Contract: Starts September 17,2026-March 17,2027 (Could be longer)

Position Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, enforcing regulations, and responding to incidents promptly and professionally.

Responsibilities
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings, access points, and perimeter to detect suspicious activity.
• Enforce access control policies and verify identification of visitors and employees.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and irregularities such as property damage or theft.
• Communicate effectively with law enforcement, emergency personnel, and management as required.
• Provide assistance and guidance to visitors and employees to promote a safe environment.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to observe, assess, and report security concerns accurately and professionally.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Prior experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not required.
• Must comply with all state or local licensing requirements applicable in North Carolina. Salary : $18.00-$22.00 per hour
