ABOUT THE ROLE Operators may set up and operate chop/Band saws, drill presses, plasma machines, stamping machines, as well as shear/brake equipment. Operates computer consoles as needed to transact in and out of time and attendance as well as labor functions. Understands and uses measuring devices to produce and check requirements of all materials. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Studies blueprints, work orders, or schematics to plan and carry out tasks Assists in the setup of essential equipment Operates equipment necessary for production order fulfillment Advises manager/supervisor of production status. Ensures components are made accurately. Review production order requirements to determine accuracy, method, materials, and equipment needed to complete each project Assist team with complex assembly projects Train new machine operators Other duties as assigned/directed by manager or supervisor WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1-2 years’ experience in assembly in a manufacturing environment Aptitude of mechanics Self-motivated Detail oriented Ability to work in a team atmosphere Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch Excellent hand-eye coordination Work safely and look out for the safety of the team Keep a clean and hazard free workspace Identify any defective items and handle them accordingly Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing for long periods Ability to lift up to 35lbs WHY JOIN EADS?
