Materials Manager

Job Title: Materials Manager Location: El Paso, Texas (On-site) Air Systems Components specializes in the design and manufacturing of high‑quality grilles, registers, and diffusers for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. Responsibilities Develop and oversee master production schedules to ensure timely customer deliveries. Manage raw material availability and proactively adjust production needs to meet demand. Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize capacity planning and minimize costs. Lead inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and demand forecasting. Oversee excess and obsolete inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels. Coordinate movement and scheduling of materials across internal and external processing locations. Manage inbound and outbound transportation in alignment with company logistics policies. Ensure warehouse operations have the necessary resources to execute efficiently and safely. Partner with supplier quality teams to drive compliance and improve logistics processes. Optimize supplier schedules to improve production flow and cost efficiencies. Monitor supplier delivery performance, address escalations, and maintain smooth material flow. Negotiate and manage consignment agreements and blanket purchase orders for critical materials. Champion the ADMS Material Control Pillar, driving lean transformation and supply chain maturity. Lead cost‑reduction projects and implement best practices in materials management. Develop, mentor, and build a high‑performing team, ensuring future leadership growth. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience); an associate degree plus additional experience is acceptable. 4–6 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or production environments. Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities. Preferred: APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) and experience in inventory forecasting and production scheduling.
