The Registered Nurse collaborates with patients, family/significant others, peers, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the delivery of healthcare services to patients. The Registered Nurse assesses the patient's needs, plans care, implements and evaluates the medical and nursing regimens in accordance with the hospital and nursing philosophy, policies/procedures and standards. All newly hired nurses to the NICU, L&D, and Mother-Baby must receive this certification within 6 months within 180 Days RequiredNRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program - American Heart Association Effective 10/31/25 Experienced RNs on 5I pediatrics will have 6 months to obtain within 180 Days RequiredNRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program - American Heart Association Effective 10/31/25 all RNs working on 5I are required to have NRP. New graduates will have 12 months to obtain within 1 Year RequiredAll registered nurses and advanced practice nurses providing direct oncology care must demonstrate one of the following:a. Current cancer-specific certification in the nurse's specialty by an accredited certification program. Oncology nursing certifications that qualify include, but are not limited to: AOCNP®, AOCNS®, AOCN®, BMTCN®, CPHON®, CPON®, CBCN® OCN®orb.
