Mail And Supplies ProcessorPerforms a variety of standardized tasks related to the pickup, processing, maintenance and issuance of mail and supplies. Utilizing a county owned vehicle to pick up and deliver preapproved items to designated locations.Responsibilities1. Receives, sorts, picks-up, processes and delivers in-house mail and mail requiring postage; Following county policy and procedures while maintaining the security of the item and confidentiality. 2. Receives, processes, maintains and issues supplies and files to various locations. 3. Operates vehicles to pick-up or deliver mail or supplies to county locations. 4. Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation, Experience and Training: Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program. Experience in a customer service environment a plus. Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Familiar with standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Ability of proper time management. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver's license, with a good driving record. Mandatory drug test prior to and will be subject to random, unannounced drug and/or alcohol testing during employment. [Based on the location of this position, may be required to pass pre-employment background investigations and/or polygraph test]. Physical/Environmental Requirements: Ability to lift files, boxes, and other materials up to 25 pounds, unassisted.
