Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and home care
- Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment
- Collaborate with the rehab team to optimize patient outcomes
- Adapt techniques to meet each patient's unique needs and abilities
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid New Mexico PTA license in hand
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- At least 1 year of recent PTA experience preferred but new grads encouraged to apply
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in a variety of rehabilitation techniques and modalities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed treatment instructions
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Time management and organizational skills
