Certified Athletic Trainer - PRN

Role
Certified Athletic Trainer – PRN, responsible for providing athletic training and sports medicine services to high school athletes.
Key Duties
- Offer medical coverage during athletic events, evaluate and treat injuries, assist with injury prevention and rehabilitation, communicate activity restrictions and injury status, and collaborate with coaches, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation, educate athletes on health and safety, and support community sports medicine activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, current BOC certification, Illinois license or eligibility, CPR/AED certification, and strong knowledge of anatomy, injury assessment, and therapeutic techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and professionalism are essential.
Skills & Attributes
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and handle emergency situations.
- Ability to work in diverse environments, including outdoor and indoor athletic settings, with physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, and quick response to injuries.
Preferred Experience
- 1-2 years in athletic training, especially with high school programs, and experience in healthcare or event coverage is advantageous.
