Position Summary The Surgical Technologist II (ST II) assists the surgical team in operative procedures utilizing proper aseptic technique. The ST II has current knowledge of equipment, suture, and procedures being performed and demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited educational program for surgical technologists. Certified as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or the National Center for Competency Testing. Current CPR certification. Preferred Experience One (1) year related experience preferred. Desired Skills and Experience Surgical instruments and equipment. Communication skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Correspondence. Other skills: Medical Terms, Word Proc. Work schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible, On Call.
