• Operate a mobile volumetric mixer to batch, deliver, and adjust concrete on demand at customer sites.
• Ensure the right mix design, quantity, and consistency through careful calibration and monitoring.
• Maintain safety, equipment reliability, and clear documentation from start to finish.

Core responsibilities

• Drive and manage a volumetric concrete mixer truck in compliance with company and roadway safety standards.
• Set calibrations and control feed rates to achieve specified slump, yield, and mix design.
• Load and handle materials—aggregate, sand, cement, water, admixtures—per job requirements.
• Survey sites for safe access, effective setup, and efficient pour sequencing.
• Use PPE, follow safety protocols, and handle materials to minimize risk and waste.
• Conduct daily pre-/post-trip inspections, monitor fluid levels and tire pressures, and service mixer components as needed.
• Diagnose and address mechanical or batching issues quickly to keep pours on schedule.
• Engage customers courteously, provide updates, and resolve on-site questions.
• Accurately complete delivery tickets, logs, and material usage reports.
• Check slump and mix properties before discharge; adjust water when necessary and escalate to quality control if the mix is too wet.
• Wash down truck, mixer, and chutes after each load; secure all chutes for transport.

Qualifications

• License: Class A CDL with a clean driving history.
• Experience: Background operating volumetric mixers or heavy equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge: Concrete mix designs, volumetric batching systems, and construction site procedures.
• Capabilities: Mechanical aptitude, strong communication, physical stamina, and disciplined safety judgment.
• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
