Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Full-Time (3 Positions)

About the Opportunity:

Our client is actively seeking three dedicated and skilled Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join their team in Bucks County, PA. These vital roles involve providing comprehensive speech and language services to students within various school districts, primarily based in Warminster, PA. You will be instrumental in supporting children's communication development through evaluations, direct therapy, and collaborative consultation, ensuring compliance with relevant educational acts and regulations.


Summary of Position:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will deliver essential speech and language services, including conducting evaluations, developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), providing direct therapy, and offering expert consultation to teachers, parents, and appropriate staff. Your work will adhere to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), PA Chapter 14, and Act 212. While initially assigned to specific children, you will have opportunities to work with other students within the district to maintain full-time hours.


Job Responsibilities:

• Accept and process referrals for children suspected of or exhibiting communication disorders, ensuring timely entry into the screening/evaluation process.
• Conduct thorough screenings and evaluations individually, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and/or as part of a trans-disciplinary team.
• Accurately identify children with communication disorders through comprehensive screening and evaluation.
• Generate detailed evaluation reports (ER) individually or collaboratively as part of a team.
• Develop, review, and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible children, coordinating closely with parents, teachers, and other relevant personnel.
• Provide appropriate and effective levels of intervention (individual, group, classroom-based, community-based, etc.) for children identified as eligible for services.
• Consult regularly with parents, teachers, and other appropriate personnel regarding the management of communication disorders and the critical connection between language development and literacy.
• Assist in developing, organizing, and conducting training sessions related to communication and literacy for staff and families.
• Contribute to the development, organization, training, and implementation of curriculum components focused on communication and literacy.
• Participate in grant projects and initiatives related to communication and literacy for children.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
• Valid Pennsylvania certification as required by the Department of Education.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

Required:

• Experience working with and evaluating students with special needs/developmental delays.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing educational programs.
• Must obtain and maintain clearance as a provider by both the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the federal government for participation in Medical Assistance (MA) or other state/federal healthcare programs.

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Credentials necessary for participation in the School-Based ACCESS Program.
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Post-graduate coursework with a focus on communication and reading/literacy.
• For Speech-Language Therapists assigned to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program: Experience with deaf culture and students who are profoundly hearing impaired.
