Residential Assistant Salary Range: $15.00 To $18.00 Hourly RESIDENTIAL ASSISTANT – Maui Support Recovery. Empower Independence. Build Community at Mental Health Kokua. Mental Health Kokua (MHK) is hiring a Residential Assistant in Maui to help residents develop daily living skills, build confidence, and transition toward more independent living. In this vital role, you’ll be a positive role model, provide hands‑on support, and help create a safe, welcoming home environment where recovery is possible. Mentoring & Support: Guide residents in communication, peer relationships, problem‑solving, and meeting their recovery goals. Daily Living Skills: Teach cooking, personal hygiene, budgeting, and other essential activities of daily living. Safety & Crisis Response: Maintain a safe and respectful environment, respond to emergencies, and document incidents in line with MHK policies. Program Activities: Organize and participate in social, educational, and recreational activities that align with residents’ interests. Household Operations: Assist with shopping, meal preparation, cleaning, maintenance coordination, and other day‑to‑day tasks. Resident Supervision: Monitor residents’ well‑being and behavior, reinforce positive habits, and provide support during challenges. Medication Support: Oversee residents’ self‑administration of medications as appropriate to the level of care. Clinical Documentation: Accurately document progress notes, service plans, and reports in a timely manner. Service Planning: Collaborate with case managers to help residents meet their individualized goals. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure residents receive consistent, high‑quality care.
