Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo Specialist in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position involves performing diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures to provide accurate images and measurements of cardiac structures, essential for enabling cardiologists to make precise diagnoses. The candidate will be required to bring their license on the first day and must demonstrate proficiency in advanced ultrasound techniques, including TEE and stress echo, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; graduate of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound or Cardiac Ultrasound certification program; Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); BLS certification; ability to work independently; minimum six (6) months of related experience; ability to utilize excellent communication skills with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding Cardiac Ultrasound results; ability to serve in on-call rotation after regular business hours.

• Additional Information: The position requires the demonstration of correct techniques and sound judgment in performing advanced cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, including TEE, stress echo, and peripheral vascular studies. The ultrasound technologist will assist physicians in complex procedures such as TAVR, SAVR, Tandem heart, Lariet procedures, and pseudoaneurysm compression. Responsibilities also include accurate documentation, resource management, compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and promoting patient and staff safety. Candidates should maintain current competency and relevant registry in their specialty practices, support quality assurance initiatives, and participate in departmental and national accreditation efforts.
