Senior Staff Accountant

This role manages day‑to‑day accounting across multiple operating companies within our portfolio. You’ll handle intercompany activity, month‑end close, reconciliations, and maintain clean, accurate financials in QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate is detail‑driven, comfortable working across several entities, and able to operate independently with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate books for multiple entities in QuickBooks Online Perform daily and weekly accounting tasks: AP, AR, bank feeds, coding, and reconciliations Manage intercompany transactions, allocations, and eliminations Prepare month‑end close: accruals, journal entries, balance sheet schedules Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and merchant accounts Maintain clean chart of accounts and consistent coding across entities Support cash flow tracking and weekly reporting Assist with annual tax prep and coordination with external CPA Identify discrepancies, propose corrections, and maintain audit‑ready records Provide ad‑hoc reporting and support for leadership Required Experience & Skills 3–10+ years accounting experience Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency (multi‑entity experience required) Solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals Experience with intercompany accounting and eliminations Strong reconciliation and month‑end close skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines Professional communication and documentation habits Preferred Experience in automobiles, construction, defense contracting, oilfield services, or multi‑LLC environments Familiarity with job‑costing or project‑based accounting Ability to streamline workflows and improve processes Compensation Competitive salary based on experience, with performance‑based growth opportunities.
