Job Description
This role involves performing high-quality TIG welding for components used in food-grade environments. You will independently lay out, fit, and weld projects from start to finish with minimal instruction, ensuring precision, cleanliness, and adherence to stringent quality standards.
Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum components to meet food-grade quality requirements.
• Lay out, fit, and weld projects independently, interpreting drawings or instructions as needed without close supervision.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in TIG welding, including performing TIG grade welds suitable for food-grade environments.
• Hands-on experience welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
• Ability to independently lay out, fit, and weld projects without detailed instruction.

Work Environment
This position is based in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility, where you will work around fabrication and welding equipment and handle metal materials. The standard schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime available and expected as needed, up to approximately 50 hours per week. The role requires wearing steel-toe shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure safety on the production floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
