Powersports Sales Associate

Knoxville Powersports is seeking a highly motivated Sales Consultant to help customers find the right powersports, marine, or outdoor equipment for their needs.

We are looking for someone who is hungry to succeed, proactive with every opportunity, and committed to delivering a best-in-class customer experience. The right person does not wait for business to come to them. They pursue leads, communicate with urgency, follow up meticulously, and remain engaged with the customer throughout the entire purchasing process.

This position requires more than simply showing inventory. Our Sales Consultants are expected to become knowledgeable resources for our customers by continuously studying our vehicles, boats, mowers, trailers, accessories, warranties, protection products, and available purchasing options.

What You Will Do

• Respond quickly and professionally to internet, telephone, and in-store leads.
• Proactively follow up with prospective customers through phone calls, text messages, email, and our customer management system.
• Ask the right questions to understand each customer’s needs, intended use, preferences, and budget.
• Guide customers through available units, features, accessories, warranties, and protection options.
• Maintain detailed and accurate notes regarding customer conversations and next steps.
• Build relationships that generate repeat customers, referrals, and long-term loyalty.
• Participate in dealership events, outside sales opportunities, and promotional activities.
• Work closely with management, finance, parts, service, and support teams to provide a smooth customer experience.
• Develop and execute a personal sales plan designed to meet monthly and annual performance goals.
• Stay current on product specifications, inventory, promotions, manufacturer programs, and competitive offerings.
• Follow each opportunity through completion instead of assuming the customer will return on their own.

• Powersports, marine, automotive, RV, equipment, or outdoor industry experience is helpful but not required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Compensation

This is a full-time, salary-plus-commission position with a highly competitive compensation plan.

Expected annual earnings: $50,000–$125,000

Actual earnings will depend on individual performance, sales results, customer follow-up, and overall productivity.

Schedule

• Tuesday through Friday: 8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• Closed Sunday and Monday
• Additional time may occasionally be required based on customer needs, dealership events, or sales activity.
