Registered Nurse - Night Shift - 13-Week Assignment

This position requires availability for night shifts, specifically from 7 PM to 7 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Provide timely patient status updates for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation of assessments and interventions.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, utilizing the nursing process to provide direct care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate effectively regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team building activities.
• Actively pursue professional development and self-study.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (specific to CIRH only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
