Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (08:00 - 16:30).

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will work primarily in an acute care setting, providing evaluations, treatment plans, and therapeutic interventions for patients with various diagnoses. The role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work independently, especially during weekend shifts where the therapist may be the only therapist present.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic interventions in accordance with the treatment plan.
• Monitor patient progress and revise treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide patient education and family support.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid California state PT license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in acute care settings preferred.
• Certifications: BLS required.
