Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg (Telemetry) $$SN$$

Shift: Nights – 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Duration: 13 weeks

Job Duties
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients in a fast-paced acute care setting.
• Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes using the nursing process.
• Monitor telemetry patients, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and point-of-care testing in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Delegate appropriate patient care tasks and promote a safe, high-quality patient care environment.

Requirements

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience required.
• Telemetry experience required.
• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, organizational, and time management skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry environment required.
• Every other weekend rotation required.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Previous specialty certification and ACLS preferred.
