Job Title: TIG Welder – Stainless Steel (Semiconductor Industry)
Job Description
This role focuses on precision TIG welding of stainless steel components used in semiconductor and high-purity applications. You will weld and assemble valves, fittings, equipment hook-ups, manifolds, regulators, and tube press fitting systems while following detailed weld schematics and maintaining high quality standards in a clean manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel products used in semiconductor and high-purity systems.
- Weld components for valves, fittings, equipment hook-ups, manifolds, regulators, and tube press fitting systems.
- Read, interpret, and strictly adhere to weld schematics and engineering drawings.
- Identify and correctly apply weld symbols to ensure accurate and consistent welds.
- Use basic math skills to take measurements, calculate dimensions, and verify tolerances.
- Apply fundamental welding principles to set up equipment, select appropriate parameters, and produce sound welds.
- Work with stainless steel sheet metal, pipe, and fabricated assemblies in a manufacturing setting.
- Inspect welds and finished components for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
- Follow established manufacturing processes and quality procedures to support high-purity applications such as PCW, CFOS, utility grade inert, and UHP gases.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and support fast-track construction project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all safety and cleanliness standards.
- Proven TIG welding experience with stainless steel components.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld schematics, and weld symbols.
- Proficiency in purge welding for high-purity applications.
- Experience with stainless steel pipe welding.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and verification of dimensions.
- Working knowledge of basic welding principles and practices.
- Ability to perform fabrication tasks involving stainless steel and sheet metal.
- Competence in visual inspection and quality checks of welds and assemblies.
- Experience working with valves, regulators, manifolds, and equipment hook-up assemblies.
- Familiarity with tube press fitting systems used in water, gas, and chemical applications.
- Exposure to semiconductor, clean energy, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing industries.
- Understanding of high-purity systems such as PCW (Process Cooling Water), CFOS (Clean For Oxygen Service), utility grade inert, and UHP (Ultra High Purity) gases.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment supporting fast-track construction projects.

Work Environment
You will work in a clean manufacturing environment focused on precision stainless steel and high-purity fabrication. The role begins on a day shift training schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., allowing you to learn processes and standards in a stable routine. After training, you will transition to a swing shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with a 10% shift differential. The facility supports advanced manufacturing for water, gas, and chemical applications, including systems for PCW, CFOS, utility grade inert, and UHP gases. You can expect a structured production environment with an emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and adherence to documented procedures, using standard welding, fabrication, and inspection tools appropriate for stainless steel and high-purity work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PORTLAND, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr.
