We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates well, is comfortable learning new technology, and is motivated by achieving goals. Automotive sales experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.What You'll DoAs a Volkswagen Sales Consultant, you’ll guide customers through the vehicle-buying process from their first visit through delivery and beyond.Responsibilities include:Welcome customers and identify their vehicle needsPresent and demonstrate new and pre-owned Volkswagen vehiclesConduct professional vehicle walk-arounds and test drivesExplain vehicle features, technology, warranties, and available optionsFollow up with internet leads, phone inquiries, and previous customersMaintain consistent communication with customers throughout the sales processWork with sales management to structure and complete vehicle purchasesAssist customers with vehicle delivery and technology setupMaintain accurate customer information and follow-up activity in the dealership CRMDevelop repeat and referral business through excellent customer serviceMaintain knowledge of current Volkswagen products, programs, incentives, and inventoryComplete required Volkswagen product and certification trainingWhat We're Looking ForOur ideal candidate is:Friendly, professional, and comfortable meeting new peopleCustomer-focused with strong communication skillsMotivated by goals and performanceOrganized and dependable with strong follow-throughComfortable using computers, smartphones, and vehicle technologyAble to work effectively as part of a teamWilling to learn Volkswagen products and the automotive sales processAvailable to work a retail schedule, including weekendsAble to maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving recordPrevious automotive, retail, hospitality, customer service, or sales experience is helpful, but automotive experience is not required.Why Herzog-Meier Volkswagen?Herzog-Meier has been serving the Portland-area automotive community for decades.
