($20,000 RETENTION BONUS FOR ELIGIBLE NEW HIRES WITH 2+ YEARS OF COMMERCIAL FOOD DELIVERY EXPERIENCE)Schedule:5-6 day schedule INCLUDES WEEKENDS (Home Daily)Dispatch - until complete (12-14 hour shifts) 10-15 stops per dayRoutes located in Metro NY- Manhattan, Queens and BrooklynUS Foods is one of the largest food distributors with a culture and history of promoting from within, excellent training programs and a continuous improvement focus.Main Ingredients of the JobSafely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer deliverytimesCarefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack,or by hand and place in designated customer storage areasVerify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signaturesHandle collections and payments from customers when applicableProfessionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance ourclient experiencePerform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspectionPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively duringeach shift requiredComfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) requiredWhat You Bring to the TableRegister to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence withnecessary endorsements and DOT qualificationsMinimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) ORthree months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beveragedelivery industry requiredAbility to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required inspecific locationsMust be able to read and communicate in the English language - able tohold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, torespond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports andrecords.Why US FoodsAt US Foods, were committed to our mission of GREAT FOOD. The expected base rate for this role is between $34 and $39.?35 an hour This role may also receive overtime compensation and shift differential where applicable.
