As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, use technology to support daily operations, and work collaboratively with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including verifying credentials and controlling access to restricted areas.
• Inspect packages, shipments, and personal belongings as required by site policy, documenting findings and reporting irregularities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, operational spaces, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
