We are seeking a skilled SDET II to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications, APIs, and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks, and a passion for leveraging AI-powered development tools to improve software quality and testing efficiency.

This role combines software development and quality engineering, with a focus on building scalable automation frameworks, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and using AI-assisted tools to accelerate test creation, execution, debugging, and maintenance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and QA engineers to deliver reliable, high-quality software in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation Development: Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and mobile applications using modern automation frameworks.
• AI-Assisted Testing: Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar platforms to accelerate test script development, improve test coverage, and streamline debugging and maintenance.
• Automation Frameworks: Build, enhance, and maintain reusable, scalable automation frameworks using Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
• API Testing: Develop and execute automated API tests to validate functionality, reliability, data integrity, and service integrations.
• UI & Mobile Testing: Implement automated testing for user interfaces and mobile applications using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Harness, or GitHub Actions to support continuous testing and faster releases.
• Functional & Regression Testing: Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing to identify defects and ensure application stability.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects; collaborate with development teams on root-cause analysis and resolution.
• AI Quality & Validation: Evaluate AI-assisted testing outputs, validate generated scripts, identify edge cases, and ensure test automation remains accurate and maintainable.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members to clarify requirements, review technical solutions, and improve overall testing practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, framework reliability, and software delivery quality.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain test plans, automation documentation, execution reports, and defect metrics.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or SDET roles, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java or another object-oriented programming language , with the ability to write maintainable automation code.
• Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or REST Assured .
• Experience developing and maintaining automated tests for web applications and APIs.
• Understanding of API testing concepts, REST services, methods, status codes, and request/response validation.
• Experience with Git-based version control and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Harness, or GitHub Actions.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools to support coding and testing workflows.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, cloud-based applications, microservices, and containerized environments.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM application testing, including validating AI-generated responses, edge cases, and non-deterministic outputs.
• Experience with test reporting, automation metrics, and quality dashboards.
• Knowledge of performance, accessibility, security, or cross-browser testing.
• Experience improving existing automation frameworks or establishing automation coverage for applications with limited existing test automation.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on automation engineer who combines strong programming fundamentals with practical experience in UI and API automation. They are comfortable building and maintaining test scripts, working within CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with Agile teams, and using AI-powered tools to improve testing productivity without compromising quality.
