Human Resources Assistant

Job Title: Human Resources Assistant Reports To: Human Resources Manager Full-time position. Direct Reports: No Job Summary The Human Resources Assistant supports day-to-day HR operations and ensures efficient delivery of HR services and employee experience. This role will assist with administrative tasks, employee lifecycle processes, data management, compliance, and employee experience support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, approachable, and capable of handling confidential information with professionalism. Key Responsibilities Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation, assistance with orientation sessions, and collecting exit paperwork. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems and personnel files. Help communicate and administer HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Assist in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates. Assist with employee engagement communications, event logistics, and recognition programs. Assist with compliance tracking, reporting, and audits. Respond to internal HR-related inquiries and elevate issues as necessary. Manage office and breakroom supplies inventory and ensure items are readily available and stocked. Participate in special HR projects and continuous process improvement efforts as needed. Qualifications Required: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field. 1+ years of Administrative, Customer Service, and HR related field experience. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with UKG or other HRIS systems a plus. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Preferred: Bi-lingual with the ability to speak and understand Spanish. Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment. HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP). Job Setting / Environment Full-time position: hours may vary based on business needs. (7am-4pm) Office environment with occasional need to walk the warehouse floor or attend company events. T his position is performed in an environmentally controlled building.
