Clinical Training Manager
Emergency Veterinary Care Center
Job Description
Job Description
Clinical Training Manager
WHO WE ARE: Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) is a rapidly growing group of emergency veterinary hospitals with 6 locations across the Midwest. Our mission is to continue to expand into and support communities who need us the most—where pet owners do not have access to 24/7 vet care.
We believe in providing exceptional, around-the-clock care—because emergencies do not just happen between 9-5.
WHAT LIFE IS LIKE AT EVCC: At EVCC, we genuinely care about whoever walks through our door, whether it be a sick pet, their parent, or one of our own team members.
We are a veterinarian-led company that truly values the perspectives and leadership of our DVMs. Started by 36 area general practice veterinarians—the majority of whom remain involved with EVCC today—we are proud of the collaborative environment that exists in all our locations.
Because let's face it; while emergency veterinary care is an exciting and fulfilling field, it is not easy. That is why we take extra special care of our team members through continuing education opportunities, promotion possibilities, and a supportive work environment you can be proud of.
REPORTS TO: Chief Veterinary Officer
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: As a Clinical Training Manager at EVCC, you:
- are positive and approachable.
- are a team player
- have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
- are excited about a fast-paced environment
- possess a desire to learn and grow

The role is remote based and will have an in-person travel to each of our 6+ hospitals in the portfolio and various locations that host in-person training sessions; expectation for 50-75% travel for in-hospital support

- Coordinate and standardize wet labs, hands-on training experiences, and didactic learning sessions

- Partner with hospital leadership on training remedial plans once individual gaps or team-wide gaps are identified
- Own and maintain various training materials
- Skills checklists & assessments
- Competency evaluations – initial training and leveling
- All written and digital didactic resources
- Maintain centralized tracking of all CE participation in partnership with hospital leadership and team members
- Maintain active on-site presence and support to hospital leadership and team members

- Early-stage program discovery and stabilization efforts
- Hospital-specific training needs
- Continuous training program monitoring and improvements
- In partnership of Vice President of New Locations, organize and lead a deployed clinical training team to support integration into the organization and streamlined clinical training support
