Tech Lead - Integrations Team

Role Description

We're looking for a Tech Lead to own the technical direction of our Integrations team — the group responsible for making our SaaS platform as fast and frictionless to integrate with as possible. Your core mission is to minimize Time-to-Integration for our clients through well-designed APIs, isolated sandbox environments, developer tooling, and a growing SDK ecosystem.

• Technical Leadership: Own the architectural vision for external APIs and integration services. Define coding standards, lead system design discussions, and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Integration Infrastructure: Evolve our current integration testing setup (staging environment + client-distributed Docker tooling) into a robust, isolated sandbox system that lets clients validate their integrations safely and independently.
• API & SDK Development: Design, build, and maintain clean, versioned APIs. Contribute to the early-stage strategy and implementation of client-side SDKs, with target languages to be determined based on client demand.
• Internal & Client Tooling: Maintain and develop Help Arena, our client documentation and self-service portal. Build and support tools used by our customer success and support teams.
• Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the client onboarding and integration workflow; implement automation to reduce friction and shorten integration cycles.
• Mentorship: Support the growth of a junior engineer through hands-on guidance, structured feedback, and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a Senior or Lead capacity
• Proven track record of working on developer-facing products: public APIs, integration tooling, or SDKs
• Expert-level Python, with production experience using FastAPI
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design: versioning, pagination, rate limiting, idempotency, and error handling
• Experience with JWT and OAuth 2.0 for API authentication and authorization
• Practical knowledge of webhook patterns and event-driven integration architectures
• Hands-on experience with asynchronous communication via RabbitMQ and/or Kafka — pub/sub patterns, reliable delivery, consumer design
• Working proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and React — sufficient to maintain and extend our client-facing portals and internal dashboards
• Comfortable with Docker and Kubernetes for managing deployment and sandbox environments
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB or Redis
• Ability to write clear, developer-friendly technical documentation
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients' engineering teams to understand integration needs and troubleshoot issues

Requirements

• NICE TO HAVE:
• Experience designing and distributing public SDKs
• Familiarity with additional languages (Go, Java, PHP, etc.) — useful context for supporting clients across diverse tech stacks
• Experience with Documentation-as-Code approaches (OpenAPI / Swagger, or similar)
• Prior developer relations or developer-facing technical experience
