Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with autism spectrum disorders and will be skilled in designing and implementing individualized therapy plans to enhance physical and overall developmental progress. Responsibilities Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess abilities in children with autism. Develop accurate diagnoses and create tailored therapy plans. Therapy Development: Design and implement individualized therapy programs based on assessment results and client needs. Use a range of evidence-based techniques and strategies to address specific communication challenges. Family Collaboration: Work closely with families to educate them about their child’s therapy needs and provide guidance on home-based activities to reinforce therapy goals. Maintain open and supportive communication with parents and caregivers. Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and document each child’s progress toward therapy goals. Adjust therapy plans as needed based on ongoing assessments and feedback. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, behavioral therapists, and educators, to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development. Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research and best practices in physical therapy and autism spectrum disorders. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Licensure: Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist. Experience: Proven experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders. Experience in a clinical, school, or home-based setting is preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of physical development, autism spectrum disorders, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
