Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Program Goals:* Begin building technical foundation* Provide challenging assignments* Create broad exposure to Solar Turbines organization and application* Acquire gas turbine product knowledge* Develop enterprise perspective* Begin network building* Preparation for a challenging and rewarding engineering careerEach program consists of two (2) to four (4) rotations with a Four to Six-month duration in departments such as:* Mechanical Design* Mechanical Design Methods* Combustion* Heat Transfer* Compressor Aero* Turbine Aero* Materials & Processes* Development Test* Aftermarket Engineering* Performance* Customer ServicesDuring the candidate selection process, the candidate will be selected for a particular functional department that leverages their current skill set and future interests, rotations will be a combination of departments/roles that will supplement final placement and candidate preference to stretch and learn and upon completion of the program the selected candidate joins the selected department.Minimum Qualifications:* In the process of obtaining or have obtained a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering program such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemistry, ect* Overall GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.* Previous Internship and/or relevant work experience.* Technical knowledge of engineering fundamentals.* Must be able and willing to relocate to San Diego, CA and be in office full time.* Ideal for those building foundational skills in this field, generally within the first 0–2 years of their careerPreferred Qualifications:* Experience (Course work or internship) in turbomachinery concepts, designs, maintenance* High energy level and sense of urgency.* Good business / technical judgment.* Ability to handle multiple priorities for a variety of tasks.* Previous co-op or Internship experience.* Problem solving skills.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.Compensation & BenefitsBase salary for this role ranges from $92,500, to $118,000. Actual salary will be based on experience.
