Responsibilities Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, landscape architects, and designers delivering high-quality civil/site designs. Oversee the full project lifecycle — from due diligence and concept development through zoning, permitting, construction documents, and construction support. Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients across commercial, mixed‑use, retail, industrial, energy, and other land development projects. Partner closely with the Practice Leader to grow the business by strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities. Prepare and oversee fee proposals, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably. Provide technical oversight, mentorship, and professional development guidance to support team growth and project success. Conduct site visits, review existing conditions, and support construction inspections as needed. Collaborate with project support staff on project setup, invoicing, forecasting, and closeout to ensure strong project administration. Prepare and review technical reports, regulatory submittals, and client deliverables to ensure a high level of quality and consistency. Requirements Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) license (required). Extensive experience in land development engineering/design, permitting, and regulatory processes. Proven success managing complex projects, multidisciplinary teams, and client relationships. Demonstrated experience with proposal development, contract administration, and project financial management. Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. A passion for mentoring, developing teams, and contributing to long‑term practice growth. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) and a minimum of 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent professional experience. Experience includes a track record of expanding project management duties. Proven experience in project management roles, focusing on managing larger‑scale projects or programs. Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols. Effective problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast‑paced environment. Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively. Strong understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation. Master’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) preferred. Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training and pass the PM Board within 6 months of the start date.
