US Trades is hiring a Certified Crane Operator to operate a telehandler/MAGNI lift to move, stage, and distribute materials throughout an active construction site. Candidates must have experience safely handling construction materials and coordinating with riggers, spotters, and installation crews.
A valid Connecticut 2 HB crane license is required for all operators.
Responsibilities
- Operate the telehandler/MAGNI lift to unload, transport, position, and distribute materials throughout the jobsite.
- Safely lift and place materials in designated staging areas and elevated work locations.
- Follow equipment load charts, lifting capacities, and manufacturer operating requirements.
- Coordinate with riggers and spotters to maintain clear communication and safe lifting operations.
- Inspect equipment before each shift and report defects, maintenance needs, or unsafe conditions.
- Monitor ground conditions, travel routes, overhead obstructions, and nearby personnel.
- Assist with material staging and other logistics duties when equipment operation is not required.
- Follow all project safety requirements and wear required PPE.
Requirements
- Current, valid Connecticut 2 HB crane license. No operators will be accepted without this license.
- Current crane operator certification appropriate to the assigned equipment.
- Previous experience operating telehandlers, MAGNI lifts, or similar material-handling equipment on construction sites.
- Ability to read and apply load charts and understand load limits, equipment setup, and safe lifting practices.
- Familiarity with rigging procedures and standard hand signals.
- Dependable attendance and availability to work 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., six days per week .
- Willingness to assist the logistics team and adjust duties based on project needs.
- Ability to climb into and out of equipment and work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
