Job Summary

We are seeking a highly creative forward-thinking Marketing Coordinator/ Content Strategist who thrives on thinking outside the box and bringing fresh ideas to life. This role is ideal for a versatile marketer who can balance strategy with execution-someone equally comfortable brainstorming campaigns, creating content, and coordinating across internal teams and external agency partners.

Your work will include assisting the marketing and sales teams in creating and executing marketing campaigns, including emails, website optimizations, direct mail, catalog, educational content, social media, etc. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you must be a go-getter, show initiative, work independently, and have excellent multi-tasking and organizational abilities. The successful candidate is comfortable suggesting new ideas and leading them to execution, and is also willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Content

• Serve as central coordinator for marketing initiatives, working closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies
• Work with internal staff to create content and develop resource materials
• Assist with yearly catalog production, including content creation, editing and proofing
• Create content for marketing assets, including email campaigns, ads, SEO, etc
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and communication to ensure campaigns are executed effectively
• Create compelling marketing content including email campaigns, website and landing page copy, social media content, and product materials

Execution

• Contribute to the development of multi-channel marketing strategies
• Help plan and execute campaigns aligned with business goals
• Assist with general website maintenance and updates, including product loads and SEO
• Bring innovative ideas to improve engagement and customer experience
• Take photos and videos for products, events and content requests

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with marketing tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media business accounts, marketing email providers, Shopify, etc.
• Familiarity with basic marketing concepts such as segmentation, conversions, SEO/SEM, influencers, etc

• Participate in other miscellaneous projects on an as needed basis.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communication, writing, digital media, or related field.
• 1-4 years of experience in marketing/communications or a related field is helpful, but not required.
• Interest and/or experience in horticulture or agriculture is helpful, but not required.

Work Environment

This job operates in a business casual office environment. This role routinely requires the use of standard office equipment. Candidate would receive work-issued equipment and an office or cubical space to perform office duties. Ideal candidate would be available to travel for photography and marketing purposes both locally and nationally. Photography and videography would require an individual to work both indoors and outdoors and the ability to stage photoshoots on their own or with minimal assistance.
