Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Prevention, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Human Capital and Training Division, located in Washington, D.C. and Ashburn, VA. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. Duties In this Mission Support Specialist role, you will become a key team member of homeland security professionals involved in planning and carrying out a wide variety of administrative management and program planning activities. This position starts at a salary of $102,415.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $133,142.00 (GS-12, Step 10) GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. Typical duties of this assignment include: Performing various and significant types of review and management analysis embracing all areas of administrative activity in support of Human Capital and Training. Participating and contributing to management decisions in assigned program areas. Applying a wide range of workforce structure and position management concept, laws, policies, practices, and analytical diagnostic methods and techniques to address administrative issues and problems.
