We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Specialist to support the full lifecycle of consumer and commercial financing transactions. This role is temp to hire and fully on-site in Greensboro, NC. This role is responsible for reviewing loan documentation, coordinating funding activities, maintaining account records, and providing exceptional service to customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong organizational skills, and enjoys collaborating across departments to ensure accurate and efficient loan processing.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications, financing documents, and supporting paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Process loan transactions and maintain accurate records in applicable systems.
• Coordinate funding activities and ensure all required documentation is completed on time.
• Respond to customer inquiries related to billing, payments, account maintenance, loan payoffs, and contract servicing.
• Support collateral management, title processing, insurance verification, and loan file administration.
• Ensure compliance with lending guidelines, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Research and resolve customer and account-related issues efficiently and professionally.
• Partner with departments such as credit, underwriting, accounting, customer service, sales, and legal to facilitate loan processing and servicing activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
• Assist with process documentation, training initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Support special projects and other operational responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in loan processing, loan servicing, banking operations, finance, lending, mortgage processing, or a related financial services environment.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of lending processes, financial documentation, and customer account management.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience researching complex issues and providing customer-focused solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using financial or loan management systems.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial lending, equipment finance, consumer lending, banking, leasing, or loan administration.
• Knowledge of loan documentation, collateral management, credit analysis, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in a regulated financial services environment.
• Familiarity with title processing, insurance verification, UCC filings, or collateral documentation.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
