Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled NICU Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. The nurse will provide specialized care to neonatal patients, ensuring optimal outcomes through expert clinical interventions and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to neonates in a 4-8 bed NICU, adhering to safety and clinical protocols.
• Administer medications, perform lab draws, and operate equipment such as ventilators, phototherapy lights, and infusion pumps.
• Assist providers with procedures including intubation, chest tube placement, and umbilical line insertion.
• Monitor patient status using EMR systems and document all clinical interventions accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain clinical expertise and stay current with NICU best practices and certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Kentucky nursing license at the time of submission.
• Possess more than 2 years of NICU experience in a hospital environment.
• Certified in BLS and NRP.
• Demonstrate proficiency in neonatal procedures and use of NICU equipment.
• Have stable employment history with delivery team experience preferred.
• Be able to work 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and on-call shifts.
