Since 2007, we've provided professional in-home pet care throughout Miami. Dog walking is the heart of our business, and we also provide puppy visits, pet sitting, cat care, and overnight care.

You don't need previous professional pet care experience to join our team. We provide training and guidance to help you succeed. What matters most is your reliability, judgment, and commitment to providing exceptional care.

A Day in the Life of a Miami Pet Concierge Dog Walker & Pet Sitter
Your day might begin with an enthusiastic Labrador who's excited for his morning walk. Your next visit could be with an older dog who prefers a slower pace and a little extra attention.
Later, you might care for a playful puppy or visit a cat whose family is traveling.
Throughout your assigned visits, you'll travel between clients' homes, follow individualized care instructions, and send thoughtful updates and photos that give pet owners peace of mind.
Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing safe, attentive 30-60 minute dog walks for dogs of different sizes, breeds, energy levels and personalities.
• Using appropriate leash-handling techniques and following individualized safety instructions, including for dogs that may pull or react to distractions.
• Providing puppy visits, feeding pets, refreshing water, and caring for cats.
• Administering medications when required.
• Observing and reporting changes in pets' health, behavior, or well-being.
• Following detailed care instructions and respecting the security of clients' homes.
• Sending timely, thoughtful visit updates and photos.
• Communicating with MPC's owners and teammates as needed.

Let's Talk About the Physical Side of the Job
Dog walking is active, physical work—especially in Miami's heat and humidity!
You'll need to be comfortable:

• Walking several miles throughout a workday in varying Miami weather conditions.
• Handling dogs of different sizes and energy levels, including larger, stronger dogs that may pull on the leash.
• Staying alert and responding calmly to unexpected distractions or challenging situations.
• Bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and moving frequently.
• Driving between client homes throughout your assigned work.

You don't need to be an experienced professional dog walker. We provide training and guidance, and assignments are made with safety, experience, and individual handling abilities in mind.

Location & Schedule: Finding the Right Fit
Because we care for pets in their own homes, living in or near our service area is strongly preferred.
Most of our recurring weekday dog walks are in Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, and South Miami. We also serve Pinecrest, Dadeland, East Kendall, Palmetto Bay, and surrounding neighborhoods.

When We Need Help
Our scheduling needs vary by service:

• Dog walking and puppy visits: Primarily weekday daytime hours, with recurring walks making up a significant portion of our work.

• Pet sitting and cat care: Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on client needs.

We particularly value applicants with consistent weekday daytime availability who are also interested in helping with other types of pet care when their schedules permit.
Because our clients rely on us throughout the year, dependable availability during summer and holiday periods is important.
We're looking for individuals interested in an ongoing position, with a commitment of at least nine months.
Availability is an important consideration, but we evaluate each applicant's overall qualifications, reliability, and fit.

What Experience and Qualifications Do You Need?
Previous professional pet care experience is helpful but not required. Experience through personal pet ownership, animal rescue, veterinary care, dog daycare, or other animal-related settings can be valuable.
More important is your reliability, judgment, comfort around animals, and willingness to learn.

Basic requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a reliable automobile and valid auto insurance.
• Have a smartphone with camera and data plan.
• Communicate fluently in English.
• Be physically capable of performing the duties described above.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in Miami weather.
• Be responsible, dependable, and attentive to detail.
• Be able to commit to the position for at least nine months.
