Job Details Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Location: Medford, OR 97504 Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care hospital with level 1 maternity and newborn services Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend required Contract Duration: 13 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270 Start Date: 10/12/2026 Orientation: Included prior to start Charting System: Epic Float: May float between units based on staffing needs Call: May be placed on call for low census Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for assignment in Oregon Compact RN license must be in hand at submission, if applicable Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and STABLE Experience with cesarean section support, LDRP care, obstetrical triage, and fetal monitoring Ability to recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Experience with sterile vaginal exams, vaginal deliveries, and circulating for C-sections Comfort providing care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery patients Ability to work every other weekend and three of the five designated holidays Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and flexibility to float as needed Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate care across the full spectrum of Labor & Delivery services Support triage, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care for a diverse patient population Assist with cesarean sections and maintain readiness for operating room support Monitor fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring systems Perform and support clinical assessments, including sterile vaginal exams and labor progression evaluations Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive outcomes for mothers and newborns Deliver high-quality patient care in a unit that values teamwork, flexibility, and patient-centered practice Float to nearby sister facilities or other units as needed based on census and staffing demands Apply now to join this rewarding Labor & Delivery travel RN opportunity in Medford, Oregon.
