Routesetting Support

Location: Alta Climbing and Fitness - Gilbert / Chandler Alta is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Routesetting Support Team. This is a Part-Time position consisting of stripping rope routes and forerunning. The ideal candidate is passionate in what they do and can provide Routesetting support while working for a fast-growing company. What You’ll Do Work closely with the Routesetting team to forerun and make changes to ensure that all climbs meet Alta quality and safety standards; Maintain a clean and organized professional work environment throughout the day; Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment and fall protection at all times; Strip, wash and organize holds. Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the Setting Closet and Hold Washing Shower; Perform general maintenance including but not limited to routine inspections of gear, equipment, hardware, quickdraws, anchors, and auto belays; Strip additional days for competitions and special events. Be willing to work overtime when necessary; Be able to commute between gyms; Be a positive role model for the community. Experience You Bring Ability to forerun Be able to lift heavy loads of 50 pounds or more and complete strenuous physical labor; Have a strong understanding of climbing movement and technique.
