Surgery - Trauma Physician

Currently looking to fill a locum need in Michigan for a Tramua Surgeon, details as follows:
o Specialty:

• Trauma Surgery - Physician
• Must be Board Certified or Eligible in Surgical Critical Care to be considered. We will decline any submissions who do not have this fellowship.

o Location:

• Midland, MI, USA

o Clinic, Call, or Both:

• Weekend Call Only
• Covering Trauma and General Surgery call coverage, and Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Service patients.
• Rounding on all admitted patients for Trauma Services and Acute Care Surgery Services; roughly 9am - 12pm on Saturday and Sunday. Census can vary 15 - 20 patients.
• Required to respond to all Code 1 Trauma activiations within 15 minutes, as we are a Level II trauma center.

o Schedule:

• 6/13: Orientation

• One weekend per month beyond that - we are working to identify these exact dates

o Cases/Procedures:

• All Trauma/Acute Care General Surgeries Please let me know if you need an exact list

o Clinical support:

• Six APPs (one to join in June 2024, one to join in August 2024)

o EMR and Dictation Tools:

• EPIC/Dragon

o Required experience, training, and certifications:

• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care to be considered for this opportunity.
• ACLS

o Case Logs:

• 50 patients (surgical or consultative) in the last 12 months

o Consider IMLC or waiting for a license:

• Will consider IMLC

o Credentialing Timeframe:

• Typically 30 days, but applications are prioritized according to start date
