Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Position : Special Education Teacher
Location : Chambersburg, PA
Hourly Wage : $40+/hour, based on experience
Employment Type : W2, Weekly Direct Deposit

Position Details:

• Hours : Full-time (30-37.5 hours/week)
• Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) : Create and implement learning plans based on students' specific needs, abilities, and goals.
• Monitor Student Progress : Assess and track the progress of students, adjusting instruction and goals as necessary.
• Implement Behavioral Strategies : Use positive behavioral interventions and supports to address behavioral challenges and promote appropriate behavior.
• Adapt Curriculum : Modify and adapt lesson plans, materials, and assessments to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Ensure Compliance with Laws and Regulations : Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and Section 504, to ensure students receive the services they are entitled to.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree  Required
• Special Education Teaching License Required
• Ability to  pass a background check and drug screen
