The value you’ll bring to the team: Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient's needs. Monitors patient's response and progress to treatment and modifies treatment plan as appropriate Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policies and procedures Provides discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and follow up services Communicates appropriately and effectively with patients, family and healthcare professionals within and across care settings and communities Oversees the care provided by physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards Meets productivity standard as defined by department Attends department meetings and education as required Practices principles of professional development and performance improvements by maintaining clinical knowledge, using best and or evidence-based practices, and serving as a Clinical instructor Educates patients, family members, and caregivers about identifying needs May assist as required to market physical therapy program in the hospital and community Willingly adjust and adapt to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers/programs as needed/approved and observed by manager Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED:

Entry level competency of physical therapy practice, theory, principles, and applications as defined in competency/department policies Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office What you will need to succeed:

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION: REQUIRED:
