Buyer

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Buyer to join our growing team. This position is responsible for continuously monitoring and analyzing production requirements to minimize on‑hand inventories while ensuring zero direct material shortages. The ideal candidate will manage the purchasing of raw materials and supplies for production, handle non‑product goods and services, and drive inventory accuracy through robust tracking and variance analysis. Main Responsibilities Procurement & Material Management: Continuously monitor production requirements to minimize on‑hand inventory while guaranteeing no direct material shortages. Purchase non‑product‑related goods and services (OPEX) as needed. Inventory Control & Coordination: Lead month‑end physical inventory counts, including counting, reporting, inputting data into the ERP system, generating monthly usage/waste reports, and conducting troubleshooting and variance analysis. Warehouse & Yard Management: Oversee raw material inventory management, ensure the organization of stock boxes and raw materials, and provide daily status reports on WIP and raw materials by commodity. KPI Management: Take ownership of key performance indicators, including minimizing WIP on hand, optimizing Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO) by commodity, and managing monthly spend on non‑product goods. Requirements & Qualifications Education & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in a business‑related discipline. Experience: 5+ years of buying and/or sourcing experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Financial Acumen: Proven experience budgeting, preparing financial reports, and analyzing variances. Negotiation: Demonstrated success negotiating terms and pricing with multiple suppliers. Language: Fluent in English (both written and verbal) with excellent overall communication skills. Core Skills & Competencies Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities. Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory tracking software.
