About the Role

The Company is seeking an Interim Senior Director for Lab Services to provide essential systemwide leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for stabilizing the laboratory team and rebuilding trust in leadership through a visible and accountable approach. This role involves partnering with Human Resources on workforce needs, building relationships with pathologists, and identifying opportunities to enhance operations and performance. The ideal candidate will have a steady and approachable presence, with a focus on listening, building credibility, and guiding change with sound judgment and a practical understanding of laboratory best practices. Applicants for the Interim Senior Director position must have a Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for those holding a Medical Technologist certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). A minimum of 10 years of laboratory leadership experience at the system level is preferred. The role requires a leader who can bring system-level laboratory leadership experience, is available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance, and is adept at stabilizing teams and fostering a culture of trust and accountability. The Interim Senior Director will be instrumental in the strategic and operational aspects of the laboratory services, and as such, a background in this area is crucial. The position is interim in nature, and the candidate should be prepared for a role that may involve travel and a flexible, dynamic work environment.
