Job Title Security Engineer (Junior) Job Description CGI Federal is a leader in providing IT and cybersecurity solutions, dedicated to supporting mission‑critical federal government initiatives. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering secure, modern, and resilient solutions that empower our federal government client's mission. Responsibilities Support deployment, testing, and operation of secure platforms and telemetry pipelines feeding SOC visibility. Help connect agents, validate data quality, and assist with remediation and hardening efforts. Deploy and validate security tooling such as EDR, DLP, and log agents, ensuring high‑quality telemetry. Assist with hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation; document changes and tests. Troubleshoot integrations; support change control; maintain inventories and runbooks. Qualifications 0–3 years in systems/security engineering; experience with Windows/Linux hardening, cloud fundamentals, and scripting. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills. Security clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust (or higher per client). US Citizenship or Green Card Required, with eligibility to obtain a public trust clearance. Desired: Bachelor’s degree; AWS/Azure Architect, CISSP, CCSP preferred. Compensation Range Estimated range: $63,700.00 – $139,300.00.
