Shreveport, LA Nursing Full-Time, Day, 8-5 Posted 06/01/2026 Req # 9831 We are seeking a Medical Assistant with office experience for a busy family medicine clinic in Ruston. A dependable, reliable, punctual and energetic candidate with the ability to work in a team approach. The job responsibility will include, but not limited to, assessment of the patient to include history, physical and allergies by utilizing a systemic approach. The nurse will review current medications with medication reconciliation. They will administer medications and vaccines as ordered by the physicians. They will assist in all clinical procedures. The nurse will work with insurance companies on preauthorization for tests, medication and procedures. They will assist in scheduling referrals, X-rays, and other tests and procedures. The nurse will need good communication to better serve our patients in answering and returning phone calls, and patient education. Computer skills are desired to navigate through the system-wide computer system. Excellent salary and benefits are offered. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
