Telemetry Technician - Day Shift

Hourly Pay Range: $19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position : Telemetry Technician - Mixed Cardiac/Tele and Neuro/Stroke Unit Location : Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126 Full Time : 36 hours per week Hours : 7:00a.m.-7:30 p.m. (4-5 weekends in a 6 week period) and rotating holiday track Required Travel : no What you will do: Under general supervision, monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry of patients to detect abnormal pattern variances via telemetry equipment.Notifies nursing and/or medical personnel according to established procedure.Performs clerical related duties as necessary. What you will need: Education : High School Diploma or GED Preferred Certification : EKG Certification Experience : Minimum three months of previous healthcare or monitor tech experience. Must pass initial and ongoing competencies. Unique or Preferred Skills: Experience monitoring rhythms of anywhere between 50-70 patients Experience with Philips Monitoring System Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
