Medical Director (Neurology)

ICON seeks a Medical Director specializing in Neurology to lead medical affairs initiatives across project portfolios. The role involves providing strategic medical guidance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing clinical research deliverables within a remote, US-based position.

Responsibilities

Lead medical affairs delivery across assigned portfolio and develop team standards
Provide strategic medical leadership and expert consultation throughout project lifecycles
Review medical data on indications, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and safety issues
Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in monitoring activities
Represent Medical Affairs in business development, investigator meetings, and project kick-offs

Requirements

MD or equivalent medical degree with Neurology specialization
Board Certification in Neurology
Medical leadership experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO settings
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in clinical research
Phase II-III clinical trial experience in industry or as investigator
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to provide operational management independently
