About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience required, preferably with 5 years in a high-risk environment. License: Must hold a valid compact nursing license. Certifications: Required: BLS, NRP; Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate. Must-Have: Must have current supervisory references. Must pass clinical review. Candidates must have experience in high acuity and fast-paced environments. Candidates must have the ability to float to other units as needed. Experience with electronic fetal monitoring is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in newborn care and related assessments. Description: Registered Nurse position in Labor and Delivery. The role involves assisting with high-risk deliveries and supporting the care of newborns until transfer to post-partum. The unit sees an average of 15 patients daily, with approximately 500-600 deliveries monthly. The setting requires functioning in a high-volume, high-risk environment with the capability to circulate for surgeries. Candidates will be expected to perform newborn care, including administration of necessary injections and assessments. Participation in weekend and holiday shifts is necessary. Travel between facilities may be required. Candidates must communicate effectively and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. The work schedule will be posted every six weeks to meet unit needs.
