Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Location: York, PA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Mid Shift: 3 PM - 3 AM, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Description: As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse array of emergencies. You will float to the Emergency Transitional Care Unit as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessments and triage patients upon arrival.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Assist in emergency procedures and maintain clinical documentation in accordance with protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department or Level I Trauma Center.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
• Experience with telemetry and critical care nursing preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system is preferred.
