Inventory Control Associate

Inventory Control AssociateNew Pig Corporation is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Inventory Control Associate to help maintain accurate inventory records and support the efficient flow of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. This position performs physical inventory counts, research variances, completes inventory transactions, and partners with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Accounting to resolve issues. The successful candidate will combine hands-on inventory work with disciplined system use, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and excellent internal customer service.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform periodic physical inventories across production, staging, and applicable off-site locationsCompare physical counts with ERP inventory records; research quantity, location, and transaction discrepanciesComplete approved inventory adjustments and maintain clear supporting documentation in accordance with established controlsMonitor inventory movements, transfers, receipts, issues, and scrap transactions for accuracy and timely postingInvestigate root causes of inventory variances and work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvementsHelp maintain accurate item, location, lot, and inventory-status data, including material held at outside vendorsAssist with reconciliation of inventory reports and system balances, escalating unresolved issues promptlyPrepare routine inventory accuracy reports, variance summaries, and supporting schedules for management reviewSupport process improvements involving inventory controls, labeling, scanning, and ERP workflowsAdhere to New Pig's safety, environmental, quality, and internal-control requirementsContribute to a positive work environment that supports the New Pig cultureAssist with special projects and perform other duties as assignedRequired Skills and Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant postsecondary coursework is preferredOne or more years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, manufacturing, logistics, or a related environment preferredStrong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-throughAbility to investigate discrepancies, analyze information, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutionsProficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and the ability to learn and accurately use ERP, MRP, warehouse, and scanning systems; experience with Syteline is a plusEffective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departmentsAbility to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environmentDemonstrated integrity when handling inventory records, adjustments, and confidential business informationKey Competencies:Inventory accuracy and control disciplineAnalytical thinking and problem solvingOwnership and accountabilityCross-functional teamworkClear communication and customer focusContinuous improvement mindsetSafety and quality awarenessNew Pig is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
