Biosecurity Cleaning Person

Position Title: Biosecurity Cleaning Person Department: Production Reports To: Production Manager FLSA Status: Full – Time Hourly Job Summary The Biosecurity Cleaning Person is primarily responsible for maintaining a safe and bio secure environment for bird health in the layer facilities. The candidate will consistently maintain company professionalism and reputation. Essential Job Functions Receive incoming uniforms and company attire Inventory, organize, and distribute all uniforms and company attire for employees, visitors, and contractors. Ensure Hen Haven cleanliness standards are upheld in “public” spaces such as break rooms, bathrooms, showers, hallways, and Danish Entries. Maintain and organize company storage rooms. Keep detailed inventory of cleaning and biosecurity materials on hand These may include items used in different areas of the farm. Inform new employees of placement of uniforms and procedures in the biosecurity showers. Resolve immediately correctable issues during normal daily activities. Notify maintenance or management immediately when encountering problems. Laundry towels, shoes, coveralls, and uniforms as needed. Assist in creating a team environment by communicating effectively with all plant supervision and staff. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalency preferred. Previous experience relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the position. Ability to work well with staff and the public. Ability to interact with a diverse population. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to act calmly and with composure in difficult situations. Must be able to twist and bend, lift 50 lbs., walk and stand for long periods on different surfaces. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds occasionally.
